Op 29 juli 2010 zijn Vlo, Vlokje en Vlinder geboren uit Questore dell'Antica Etruria (Totò) x Anita (Joli)
Hieronder hun relaas met foto's:		 On July 29th 2010 Vlo,Vlokje and Vlinder (Flea, Flock and Butterfly) where born out of Questore dell'Antica Etruria (Totò) x Anita (Joli). 
 Here is their story with pictures:

Eind mei is Joli loops geworden en heb ik Totò opgehaald uit Napels. Hij dekte Joli diverse keren. De echo gemaakt op 30 juni liet zien dat Joli drachtig was.  

Op 23 juli heb ik een röntgenfoto laten maken om te weten hoeveel pups er op komst zijn: 4 pups zijn er op de foto te zien. De rondjes geven weer waar de schedeltjes liggen, de lijnen geven de ruggengraatjes aan. 

Op donderdag 29 juli 's avonds zijn in vlot tempo 4 reutjes geboren; 3 wegen in de 190 gram, 1 weegt 170 gram.  

Helaas blijkt na 3 dagen dat één pupje het niet gaat redden. De andere pups doen het gelukkig heel goed en Joli zorgt uitstekend voor ze.

End of May Joli went into heat and I went to Neapel to get Totò. He mated her several times. 

An ultrasound on June 30st showed that Joli was pregant.

On July 23rd I made an x-ray to know how many puppies to expect: 4 puppies showed on the foto. The circles indicate the heads, the arrows the spines. 

On Thursday 29th of July 4 males were born; 3 of them weighted about 190 gram, 1 was 170 gram. Unfortunately after 3 days one of them doesn't want to grow and he slipped away.  The others are doing very well, and Joli is a great mother to them.

De eerste week:

In 6 dagen hebben de pups hun geboortegewicht meer dan verdubbeld; ze groeien werkelijk als kool. Het pigment begint ook mooi door te komen. Het is eten, slapen, eten, slapen.

Met 11 dagen heeft meneer zwart de oogjes open. 

The first week:

The puppies doubled their birth weight in 6 days; they are growing extremely well. Pigmentation is starting to show.

At 11 days mister black has his eyes open. 
2 weken:
Oogjes zijn bij alle 3 open. Ze beginnen al een klein beetje te scharrelen, en protesteren bij het wegen. Joli zorgt goed voor ze en wipt van tijd tot tijd langs voor de maaltijd.

Second week

Eyes are open. They are starting to move around and protest being weighted. Joli is taking very good care of them, coming by for feedings now and then.
3 weken:
Pups wegen nu rond 1 kilo. Ze begonnen met lopen, en soms beginnen ze ook al een beetje met elkaar te spelen. Het eerste balletje tartaar is verorberd.		 Third week
All 3 of them are apr. 1 kilo. They started walking, and they are even beginning to play with eachother.
The first meatballs tasted like more.
4 weken:
De pups beginnen al met elkaar te spelen en ze zijn voor het eerst even buiten geweest. Ze smikkelen inmiddels lekker van de vleespap.		 4 weeks
They are starting to play more and more and made their first trip outdoors. The meatporridge is very much to their likings.
5 weken
De pups beginnen de wereld om hen heen te verkennen. Het kattenhuisje is een leuke verstopplaats; sowieso zijn er vele hoekjes waar je je kunt verstoppen.		 5 weeks
They started to investigate their environment. The cat house is a nice place to hide; but overall are there many places where no one will find you.
6 weken
 Spelen, spelen, spelen met mams of met elkaar en de wereld verkennen; dat is de hoofdbezigheid. En eten natuurlijk. 		 6 weeks
Playing, playing, playing with mum or with eachoterh and discovering the environment; that's their main thing to do at the moment. And of course eating.....
7 weken
 Geënt, gechipt en ontwormd: het einde alhier begint te naderen. De verdeling van de namen is nu ook bekend: rood = Vlootje, zwart = Vlinder en blauw = Vlokje, roepnaam Pulce, Italiaans voor vlo.		 7 weeks
Vaccinated, chipped and dewormed: the remaining time here is coming to an end. We now also know the names of each puppy: red = Vlootje (flea), black = Vlinder (butterfly) and blue = Vlokje (flock), but will be called Pulce, which is Italian for flea.
8 weken
 De tijd zit erop. Dit weekend gaan de pups naar hun nieuwe baasje. Het was kort maar krachtig. Vlootje blijft bij ons.		 8 weeks
Their time with us ends here. This weekend the puppies will go to their new owners. Vlootje will stay with us.
